Universal Solar Direct and Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas Home Makeover Sweepstakes Official Rules and Regulations
- Eligibility:
The Universal Solar Direct and Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas Home Makeover Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is exclusively for homeowners. No purchase is required to participate. The Sweepstakes is valid from October 20, 2023, through January 31, 2024. To be eligible, participants must be legal residents of the United States, own a single-family home, and reside within the geographic area of operation of Universal Solar Direct Las Vegas and Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas. Employees, agents, and immediate family members of Universal Solar Direct Las Vegas, Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas, their affiliates, subsidiaries, co-branded partners, consultants, contractors, advertising, public relations, promotion, fulfillment, and marketing agencies are not eligible.
- Prize Description:
The Sweepstakes comprises two (2) annual prizes, one (1) awarded every six (6) months. Each prize winner will receive a generous allowance of up to $25,000 in Universal Solar Direct and Universal Windows Direct exterior home remodeling products, based on approximate retail value, including installation. A minimum of fifty percent (50%) of the prize allowance must be allocated to replacement windows and solar products. Unused prize allowance cannot be exchanged for cash and will be forfeited.
- Entry Methods:
Participants can enter the Sweepstakes through two methods: (i) by completing the online entry form on the designated websites, or (ii) by mailing a 3″x5″ card with their full name and complete address, clearly indicating “Universal Solar Direct and Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas Home Makeover Sweepstakes” at the top. Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than 72 hours before the expiration of a prize period. Only one (1) entry per household is permitted.
- Prize Drawing:
Winners will be selected through random drawings from all eligible entries received during each prize period. Drawings will be conducted within five business days after the conclusion of each prize period. The odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received.
- Prize Conditions:
Each prize winner will have the opportunity to choose from Universal Solar Direct and Universal Windows Direct products with an approximate retail value of $25,000. A minimum of fifty percent (50%) of the prize must be allocated to replacement windows and solar products. Installation will be provided by Universal Solar Direct Las Vegas and Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas personnel or their designees. Any expenses exceeding the prize allowance are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are non-transferable and must be installed at the address listed on the winning entry form. Installation must be completed within six months of confirmed notification.
- Winner’s Responsibilities:
Winners are responsible for ensuring their homes are suitable for product installation, complying with local building codes and regulations. Any necessary repairs required for proper installation are at the winner’s expense. Installation labor does not include additional services such as painting, staining, floor coverings, lighting, or HVAC systems.
- Release and Publicity:
By accepting the prize, winners grant Universal Solar Direct Las Vegas and Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas the right to use their full name, photographs, video footage, interviews, and social media posts for promotional and advertising purposes without compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- Taxes:
Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes and fees related to the prize. Tax reporting forms will be provided as required by law.
- Dispute Resolution:
Any disputes arising from the Sweepstakes will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with jurisdiction in Clark County, Nevada.
- Modification and Termination:
Universal Solar Direct Las Vegas and Universal Windows Direct Las Vegas reserve the right to modify or terminate the Sweepstakes at any time without prior notice. Prizes awarded before termination will be honored.
- Governing Law:
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, with exclusive venue/jurisdiction in Clark County, Nevada.
